Mr Subramanian is a very professional and personable man. On Friday 13 November 2020 he performed and emergency operation on my spine. Since then I have had no recurrences of the problem and am exceedingly grateful for the aftercare Musgrove Park Hospital Spinal Team have given me.

I was fortunate enough to already know about the fantastic reputation of the spinal team in Taunton. I therefore had very little concern over the clinical expertise I would receive from Mr Subramanain and the extended team, and was happy to be guided by them in terms of the surgical approach being recommended. All my treatment options were very clearly communicated with the pros and cons to to each set out, with the final decision being down to me. The surgery and initial post operative care was exemplar, despite it being a very busy day for the hospital, with beds and staff under significant pressure. My only feedback in terms of what would have been an improvement for me would have been to have access to a physiotherapist at an earlier stage post discharge, for assessment/review, so I could go through my rehabilitation in more detail on my road to recovery.
